2015 MSHA Spring Convention

4/10/2015 and 4/11/2015

The Call for Breakout Session proposals and Call for Roundtable proposals is now closed. Submissions for a Poster Session are due January 30, 2015.

MSHA’s annual Spring Convention features two full days of local and national speakers presenting on an array of subjects for speech-language pathologists and audiologists. The 2014 Spring Convention will offer the opportunity to earn CEUs and network at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Breakout Sessions

Attendees choose from among 18 presentations across 6 sessions and 5 tracks. There will be something for everyone — topics will include speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and balance disorders for clients of all ages and in all settings.

Attendees choose from among small, moderated roundtable sessions, including such topics as stuttering, amplification, dementia, AAC, and professional/practice management issues (e.g., workload/caseload, documentation, bilingual service delivery).

Posters and Contributed Papers

Attendees may visit clinical case presentations and reports, research projects, treatment outcomes, interdisciplinary programs, evidence-based practice, and related professional activities. Forums and papers will be presented during the poster session on Friday, April 10 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

There are even more reasons to come:

  • Maximized CEs – 13 hours applied for from ASHA.
  • Exhibitors – Exhibit tables will be on hand to display the latest professional products, services, and employment opportunities by experts who know them best. Attendees were sure to leave with at least one new idea!
  • Meals and refreshments – Four meals, refreshment breaks, and the Poster Session are all included in the convention registration fee. Attendees are invited to celebrate with MSHA at our Honors and Awards Association luncheon on Friday and hear about MSHA’s statewide advocacy in education and health care at our Association breakfast on Saturday.
  • "À la carte” handouts – Registrants will be able to download the handout materials prior to, during and after the convention.
